These Roll-Ups are one of my most popular recipes and for good reason. They have been shared all over Facebook and a million times on Pinterest.  Everyone that makes them loves them.

These little bundles are full of flavor from creamy ranch, melty colby cheese, crispy bacon and tender chicken.  All that gets wrapped up in a flaky crescent roll and make for a fabulous dinner!

I always have everything I need to make these Ranch Chicken Club Roll-Ups on hand and since they only take a few minutes I never have to stress about what to make for dinner.

We all have those nights where the kids are screaming for dinner, you’re exhausted, your husband’s hungry and the thought of whipping up dinner makes you want to run to the phone to order some pizza.

Well this recipe will save you, in less time than it takes to get pizza delivered you can have this dinner on the table.  It’s not fancy, it’s not complicated, it only has 5 ingredients!  That is what makes this a winner, that is what makes this a crowd pleaser.

I like to call it a Thursday night dinner, Thursday nights are when I am my most tired, my most run down, I’m almost at the weekend finish line and just need a little help getting there.  Those are the nights are use my easy recipes the most and this one is a frequent flyer on Thursdays lol.

The best thing about these is that my kids love them!! They are picky, picky eaters

These roll-ups are quick, delicious and versatile.  You can change the sauce up or the cheese, a honey mustard swiss combo sounds heavenly, or a bbq sauce cheddar, yummy!  These are so easy to make you could even make a few different varieties to suit all your families taste for dinner.

I sliced up chicken breasts and sauteed them with a little garlic salt for this recipe, however, you could use precooked chicken strips or even breaded chicken tenders, whatever floats your boat.

I use canned crescent rolls to make these and pinch two triangles together to make a rectangle, but now they sell crescent roll sheets and you can just buy that and cut each can into 4 rectangles to make things easier.

These make a quick dinner or easy lunch and are perfect along side some mac & cheese or a garden salad and dinner is done!

So give these Ranch Chicken Club Roll-Ups a try and I guarantee you will be met with lots of smiles and empty plates!

Can I use leftover chicken?

Yes!  This is a great way to use up any leftover chicken you have.  You can also use a rotisserie chicken to make it even easier!

Can I use any cheese?

Yup!  You can use a white cheddar, swiss or even pepper jack would be super delicious in these!

INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken tenderloins- You can use either precooked or fresh and sauteed till cooked through.
  • Bacon-  You can use fresh cooked bacon or microwave bacon.
  • Colby jack cheese-  I like to use colby jack in this recipe but feel free to use your favorite cheese.  Cheddar cheese or pepperjack cheese would be great in this recipe.

  1. I wonder if you could place these on wax paper to flash freeze them then just cook as needed, or cook them first then freeze and reheat as needed. I’m huge into meal planning, and freezer cooking because I’m on a limited budget so this is definitely going on my experiment list!

  2. Okay, so I have these in the oven as I type, but I have to know, what brand of crescent rolls did you use? I bought pillsbury and they were way to small to be able to actually roll everything up inside. So my side with the seam is up, and I have toothpicks holding things in place. Wondering if I should look for jumbo crescent rolls or just try the store brand to see if they are any bigger…

    1. I actually did use store brand, Walmart brand is the kind I used. If you run into trouble with them, you can kind spread em out a little when you are pinching the seam together before you add the filling, just don’t spread them too thin, that might help if you run across some smaller rolls. Hope this helps :)

    1. If you use raw bacon then yes cook it before, if you use precooked bacon then no you do not need to cook it first.

  3. These look like an awesome candidate for freeze ahead meals. Has anyone done that with these and I’d so how long would you recommend keeping them in the oven if put in while frozen? Thanks for any answers.

  4. I made these the other night and they were a hit! Thanks for sharing. I posted your recipe on my blog today for Meal Plan Monday!
But mine did not turn out near as beautiful as yours….I will have to try again and take new pictures but they were delicious!

    1. Magic!!! Lol! No it actually isn’t enough cheese to start coming out the ends so it pretty much stays put. If you put lots of cheese in there then you might have some spillage. If you want to be super sure the cheese stays in there just pinch the ends closed a little before baking :)

  5. Mine are in the oven right now and i definitely suggest getting jumbo crescents first! I even tried making the rectangles bigger but all that did was make them to thin and rip when i rolled :c( but they smell awesome! Hahaha

  6. Made these today for lunch, My boyfriend and I are not big fans of ranch so I substituted the ranch for Caesar dressing and Colby jack for provolone and OH MY GOODNESS THEY ARE SO DELICIOUS!!!!!

I went ahead and bought the jumbo-crescent rolls and they work fantastic!
Thank you for sharing your recipe!!!! :)

  7. I made this last night for my family and I had a somewhat a hard time rolling them up and i used the big crescent rolls. My roll ups didn’t look anything like your picture above. You rolled them perfectly. There was 8 rolls in a can so i thought i was going to have 8 of these. I didn’t know i was combining two to make a rectangle. I thought I was taking 1 and stretching it out to form into a rectangle. I tried to pinch them together as much as i could. The next time i make this i think i will try to use medium size taco shells…roll everything up in the shell, place in pan and sprinkle some cheese on top……i didn’t taste the cheese in this recipe either so i would probably change the cheese next time as well. I enjoyed eating some of the bacon too while i was preparing :)

    1. I love the idea of putting them in tortillas! Also for a stronger cheese flavor you can try swiss which I think would be really yummy with the bacon!

  8. I made these tonight and had a hard time rolling them up with the cooked bacon inside; they didn’t want to roll over the bacon. Will try again with jumbo rolls next time. Smells delicious!! Still cooking.

  9. Oh EM Gee! I saw this recipe on Pinterest last night and made them tonight.

I seared the chicken in a pan after shaking it in a bag if Ranch Powder and I think it added an extra special zest.

Thanks for sharing, this has been bumped up hubby’s favorite dish5 stars
