Hey ya’ll I am Kelsey from Poofy Cheeks back to share another kid craft! With fall here and Halloween around the corner I knew crafting up a pumpkin would be perfect! I have four kids ranging in age from 6 1/2 years to 4 months old. Of course my four month old isn’t crafting (although his first word might be ‘glitter’) but my other three love to do hands on crafts! The idea for rhinestone pumpkins hit me as I was walking through the craft store and they had them on sale for 50% off. I though they would make for a glitzy pumpkin!

To make your own rhinestone pumpkin you need:

  • A real or fake pumpkin
  • Craft glue
  • Rhinestone jewels

Let your kiddos grab a handful of rhinestones and glue them all around. Since I have a two year old I had my three kids sit at the table with their pile of rhinestones. I did the gluing and kept spinning the pumpkin so they could each put rhinestones all around (one had a favorite shape and another had a favorite color but I wanted to make sure they were all scattered).

Our pumpkin is sitting outside the front door ready to greet guests! This was a quick kid craft that left little mess and while we were making it I asked them to identify the shapes of the rhinestones as well as the colors. Who says crafting isn’t learning!?
