Rufus Our Christmas Dinosaur
Soooo I wanted to do an Elf on the Shelf with Dean but I just could not stomach the $30 price tag on that little elf doll. So my mom suggested we use Rufus, our T-Rex.
Rufus has been with us forever and Dean loves him. He has a raspy voice and tends to get in trouble. He also inadvertently scares the crap out of me often when I spot him unexpectedly in the middle of the night lol.
Which makes him perfect to keep up with all those little mischievous elves. He can get in to just as much trouble as those wide eyed Santa helpers, well most things, his arms are a little….short…. but that doesn’t stop him from putting on his Santa hat and rocking this whole Dino on the shelf thing!
He arrived today unsuccessfully trying to help decorate our tree :)
Yeah, you should meet CARL, our Elf.. I found him on sale at Christmas Tree Shop… and well, let’s just say… He was $6 and is SCARIER and FAR MORE “GOOD BEHAVIOR” INSPIRING.. than his $30 cousin.
