Spooky Lab Halloween Treats

Hey guys!!!  Halloween is right around the corner and we could not be more excited!!!!  I love Halloween!!  I don’t love it for the scary costumes and haunted houses, I just love spending the evening walking around my grandparents neighborhood breathing in the crisp fall air while echos of “trick or treat” sound through the streets.  I love spending late nights putting the finishing touches on Dean’s costume, which is always something classic, a spider, a skeleton or a puppy.

Then we end the night by going back to my grandparent’s house and ordering pizza while the kids dump their spoils on the floor and the parent’s sift through always sampling just to “make sure it’s safe”.

There are time where we will also have a Halloween party since us grown ups like to dress up too! And I want to share with you some very easy desserts to make your Halloween party just enough spooky without being too scary for the little ones.

Now onto some of these spooktacular recipes I have been promising you!  Throwing together a Monster Mash Party doesn’t have to be scary, it can be easy and delicious!

These treats are soo easy to make, real crowd pleasers and double as decorations.  When throwing a Halloween Party with kids it is best to have fun and not so scary decorations.  I love the bright combo of orange, green and purple for Halloween, sparkly pumpkins, friendly ghosts are all perfect for throwing a kid friendly party.

Now onto the yummies for your little ghouls!  Being a busy mom I rely on treats that are simple to make, big on taste and classic flavors that everyone loves.  So lets start with my Monster Pudding Cups!

First your or your kids can decorate little clear cups with monster faces.  Next I just whip up some vanilla pudding and mix it with green food coloring.

I fill the cups with the pudding and then comes the best part… lots of OREO crumbles!!

The OREO crumbles are meant to resemble the monster’s hair and makes them sooo cute and delicious!!

Next up are my Spooky Eyeball OREO Pops.  These are a cinch to make.  Everyone loves cake pops but baking a cake, cooling it, mixing it, ughhh too much work!!

I just combine cream cheese and OREOS in the food processor then shape it into balls and place on Halloween straws, then freeze.

Next I dip them in melted white almond bark and place a creepy eyeball candy on each one.  Next I take a food coloring marker to draw extra veins on the pops, really making them creepy.
